When it's Christmas in Cuxhaven

In the Christmas North Sea spa, the Christmas market at the castle, the Cuxhavener Winterzauber and the Duhner Festtagsmarkt are popular meeting places

On November 23, 2022, the North Sea spa town of Cuxhaven will start the Christmas season. Then the traditional Christmas market opens in the town on the world shipping route. The Christmas hustle and bustle around Ritzebüttel Castle ends on December 28. The festively illuminated sales huts in the castle garden and the "Park of Stars" provide atmospheric entertainment in a wintry atmosphere every day - except on the first holiday.

Saturday 1 to 9 p.m.; Sunday 1 to 8:30 p.m.
On Christmas Eve, the market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The market will be closed on Christmas Day.

From December 25, 2022, the Duhn festive market with its stalls directly behind the dike will also be a popular destination in Cuxhaven. This is particularly well attended on the last day of the year, when locals and vacation guests meet on the Duhn beach promenade for the turn of the year and New Year's Eve fireworks. The festive market is open until January 4, 2023.

"Cuxhaven Winter Magic" in the Seekurpark

From November 25 to January 6, 2023, the spa park in the Döse district will once again be transformed into a winter wonderland. With illuminations in the trees and on the lake area as well as Christmas decorations and sales huts for food and drinks in the entire park area.

The main attraction is an ice skating rink at the entrance to the park. The 200-square-meter artificial ice rink with children's riding aids provided invites visitors to skate every day. Skate rental is also available.

On weekdays, admission is free. On the weekends with numerous offers for children and musical supporting program, the entrance fee for visitors over 16 years is 1.50 euros. This is valid as a consumption voucher.
