The Ship Announcement Service - Cuxhaven e.V. was founded in 2011. Since then, we have been informing the guests of the city of Cuxhaven and its citizens with interesting information about shipping and data from ships passing through Cuxhaven at sea or coming from the sea.
You can hear this service daily from April to October between 10:00 and 19:00 on the "Alte Liebe" bulwark, the "Seebäderbrücke" bridge and as a "live stream" on the internet.

Look forward to the coming summer, to holidays on the beach in Cuxhaven. You have the choice between Sahlenburg, Duhnen, Döse, Grimmerhörn and Altenbruch. In this video we present you the Cuxhaven beaches from the seagull's view. (© luftbildplus.de)
Today we take you on a walk from Altenbruch harbour, from the Dicke Berta, to the Alte Liebe. In the process, we drive across the Alte Marsch to the large construction site in the eastern harbour extension, across the car loading area and the now old New Fishing Harbour. We cross the sea lock, passing the Steubenhöft beforehand, to the Old Fishing Harbour and on to the Old Love, where the museum icebreaker "STETTIN" is just leaving under steam. (© luftbildplus.de)
Today we take you on a walk between the Alte Liebe and the Kugelbake. On the way, we pass the seaside resort bridge, the Grimmershörn barracks, the Grimmershörn bay, the bathhouse, the spa gardens and the Kugelbake fort. (© luftbildplus.de)
Cuxhaven - that is much more than beach and ships. Today we took advantage of the rainy day and put together a few scenes from the "Duhner Heide" between Sahlenburg and Duhnen for you. It's hard to believe that this wonderful landscape was once firmly in the hands of the military. Shooting ranges and an anti-aircraft school were located here. (© luftbildplus.de)
Today we take you on a walk between the Duhner Heide and the Sielhafen of Spieka-Neufeld. Along the way we pass the former Nordheim Foundation, the Mudflat Sea Visitor Centre, the catamaran sailors, Sahlenburg beach, the Finkenmoor and the dyke foreshore near Berensch. (© luftbildplus.de)
